Assistant Head of Painting Department is to supervise all painting activities in the workshop, ensuring top-quality paint jobs and coordination of the painting team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assistant HOD Painting:
- Assist in managing the painting team.
- Monitor paint preparation and application.
- Support in staff supervision and job delegation.
- Ensure adherence to job orders and timelines.
- Review surface preparation and priming.
- Ensure health and safety compliance.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues.
- Maintain clean and safe workstations.
- Help track inventory usage and report shortages.
- Suggest improvements in process and materials.
- Support training of new team members.
- Prepare reports on daily work completed.
Process Improvement:
- Always ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs) for quality assurance.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards in the workshop

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI)
- Jon Completion Accuracy: (target: ≥95%)
- Team Productivity: (target: ≥95%).
- Rework/Recall Rate: Number of jobs returned due to quality issues (target: ≤5%).
- Material Wastage: (target ≤5%)
WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum of three (3) years in automobile painting and 1 year leadership role in an automotive environment.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION
Technical Diploma Certificate or Trade Test
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
A relevant professional qualification is an added advantage.
